Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of D4 Networks services. All customers must comply with this policy. Violations may result in service suspension or termination.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not host, store, or transmit:

  • Illegal content of any kind
  • Child exploitation material (zero tolerance - immediate termination and law enforcement notification)
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Phishing sites or fraudulent content
  • Content promoting violence, terrorism, or hate

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services for:

3.1 Network Abuse

  • Denial of service attacks (DoS/DDoS)
  • Port scanning or network probing without authorization
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Packet spoofing or forging headers

3.2 Email Abuse

  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email
  • Operating open mail relays
  • Email bombing or harassment
  • Forging email headers

3.3 Resource Abuse

  • Cryptocurrency mining without explicit permission
  • Running processes that negatively impact other customers
  • Excessive resource consumption beyond plan limits
  • Operating TOR exit nodes without approval

4. Security Requirements

Customers are responsible for:

  • Keeping software and applications updated
  • Implementing appropriate security measures
  • Securing access credentials
  • Monitoring for and addressing vulnerabilities

5. Compliance

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • Data protection and privacy laws
  • Export control regulations
  • Industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.)

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any AUP violation, please report it to abuse@d4networks.com. We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly.

7. Enforcement

D4 Networks reserves the right to:

  • Investigate suspected violations
  • Suspend services without notice in case of severe violations
  • Terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations
  • Cooperate with law enforcement as required
  • Null-route IP addresses engaged in attacks

8. Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account, including actions of:

  • Employees and contractors
  • End users of your services
  • Automated processes and scripts

9. Modifications

D4 Networks may modify this AUP at any time. Continued use of services after modifications constitutes acceptance.
